Evansville Goodwill buys Newburgh property

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Evansville Goodwill has announced it has purchased property in Newburgh.

The Evansville Goodwill says the site is being considered for a future Goodwill retail store and donation center. Development of the property is part of a long-term plan and construction will not begin immediately as the organization evaluates its next steps and future timelines.

“Our mobile donation site in Newburgh has shown us just how engaged this community is in supporting Goodwill’s mission,” said Connie Ralph, President & CEO of Evansville Goodwill. “This new location will allow us to better serve the community while expanding access to programs that help individuals gain skills, complete their education, and pursue new opportunities.”

Officials say revenue generated from Goodwill stores funds local mission programs, including GoodSkills Academy training programs offering free computer and digital skills classes, and The Excel Center Evansville Southeast, a free adult high school where students can earn their high school diploma while receiving wraparound support such as life coaching and drop-in childcare all at no cost.
