JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Smilow Prep Middle Charter School is opening doors for students to explore their creative side.
School leaders at the Jackson charter school say, this is the first year they have a performing arts program.

“When I first started, I was very nervous. I didn’t think I would know anyone performing with me, but when I joined they were very welcoming,” said Joniye Wright, eighth grade scholar at Smilow Prep.
