If you want to eat healthy while dining out, there’s a new app that will make it a lot easier.
Download the Ochsner Eat Fit app for free and search by zip code throughout Louisiana for restaurants that have menu items that meet nutrition guidelines centered on lean proteins, vegetables, plant-based fats and whole grains, with no white carbs, minimal added sugar and limited animal fats.
When you are in a participating restaurant, look for the Eat Fit seal of approval next to certain selections on the menu or menu board for a healthy choice.
And if your favorite restaurant doesn’t have any Eat Fit items, don’t be shy about asking them to add one.
