CSPD: Domestic disturbance leads to shots fired

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — When officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Saturday evening, April 4, they offered to separate the couple and give the boyfriend a ride to another location. The boyfriend initially agreed, but the situation escalated, leading to shots being fired inside the home, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD reported that at around 7 p.m. on Saturday, officers arrived at the scene in the 5800 block of Grandby Hill Drive, near the intersection of Austin Bluffs Parkway and Stetson Hills Boulevard, where the disturbance had been reported.

Through investigation, officers realized that there was no reason to make an arrest. Still, they offered the boyfriend, Forrest Macleod, a ride to separate the couple and diffuse the situation for the night, according to CSPD. Macleod accepted the offer of a ride and went inside to pack a bag…
