Clarksville City Council to consider a resolution for affordable senior housing

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Clarksville City Council will consider a resolution on Monday April 6 that would support affordable senior housing.

The housing would be constructed on Frosty Morn property at 626 Frosty Morn Drive under a long-term ground lease agreement authorized by the city of Clarksville. The project would transform the former meat processing plant into an affordable housing community for seniors living on fixed incomes, with 65 units.

The City would retain ownership of the property and enter a 75-year ground lease with the developer, receiving Low-Income Housing Tax Credits through the Tennessee Housing Development Agency…
