Late-Night Gunfire Rips Through Chapel Hill Rise Apartments Breezeway

A quiet Saturday night at the Rise apartments on Westminster Drive in Chapel Hill turned chaotic when a man was shot and left under a building breezeway with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rushed him to a hospital for treatment, and as of Sunday there had been no arrests while investigators continued working the scene.

The shooting was reported around 11:55 p.m., and investigators believe someone opened fire, then took off from the area. Police found the victim beneath a breezeway in the complex and transported him to a hospital for care, according to WRAL.
