Knoxville man facing battery charges drops lawsuit he filed against abuse accusers

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Knoxville man accused of sex crimes against children has dropped a lawsuit he filed last year that accused community members of spreading false and defamatory information about him.

Douglas Peek, who filed the complaint in Knox County Circuit Court along with his wife Allison, filed notice April 2 of voluntary dismissal without prejudice, records show. Attorney Gregory Brown filed the notice on their behalf.

“Without prejudice” means the claim could be reasserted in the future…
