Villager lands in jail after angrily confronting son over empty liquor bottle

A Villager was arrested after an angry confrontation with his son sparked by the discovery of an empty liquor bottle.

An officer responded to a disturbance at 66-year-old Norman John Nelson’s home in the Village of St. Catherine at 11:30 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

Upon arrival, the officer saw Nelson’s son outside the residence. The son claimed Nelson was mad at him for drinking Malibu due to having prior issues with alcohol. Nelson seized the empty plastic bottle and swung it at his son, leaving a red mark on the right side of his abdomen, the report said.

Nelson admitted he got angry with his son for being drunk. He then grabbed the liquor bottle from his son’s backpack, saying he “was pissed,” before swinging it at him, the report said. The son has been living in his father’s house for the past five years…
