Fast-food giant Chick-fil-A’s plan to open a second location in Santa Barbara has been shot down, at least for now.
In a 3-2 vote last Wednesday, the Santa Barbara County Planning Commission rejected a proposal to build a Chick-fil-A at 4765 Calle Real, citing potential impacts on the surrounding neighborhood, the News-Press reported. The city’s other Chick-Fil-A is at 3707 State Street.
While two commissioners voted to move the project forward, the majority called for an environmental review and said they want assurances that the drive-thru would not lead to excessive traffic backups…
