Frontal boundary brings rough conditions, cooler temperatures through midweek

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A frontal boundary moving through the region will bring windy conditions and scattered showers through Wednesday, with a Small Craft Advisory in effect for boaters through Thursday afternoon.

Water conditions will deteriorate with three to five foot waves as a result of strong winds out of the northeast. A 40% chance of rain is forecast for Tuesday at 7 a.m., potentially affecting the morning commute.

Periodic showers and a few isolated thunderstorms are expected. Most of the rain with this system will be inland and along the east coast, but showers near the coast are possible.
