SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Drivers with overdue traffic ticket fines or other court-ordered obligations in Sarasota County may have a chance to save money and get back behind the wheel during Operation Green Light, a three-day driver license reinstatement event.
Karen E. Rushing, Sarasota County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller, says the program, is designed to help people with suspended or revoked driver’s licenses work toward reinstatement while addressing past-due court obligations.
“Operation Green Light is an opportunity for Clerks and Comptrollers to help citizens save money and get back on the road,” Rushing said. “The program authorizes our Office to waive collection agency fees for anyone who pays their court obligations in-full, or we can help them establish a payment plan that fits their budget.”…
