GoFundMe started for woman injured in Savannah PD crash

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A GoFundMe has been started for a 19-year-old woman who was seriously injured and underwent surgery following a crash with a Savannah Police Department officer on Mar 23.

According to the GoFundMe page, the injured woman “suffered multiple fractures, including her pelvis, hip, rib and tailbone, along with other injuries.”

Recovery could reportedly take between six months and one year, and will postpone the completion of her dental assistant certification.

The GoFundMe will reportedly go to “Completing the final payments for her dental assistant program, upcoming medical and rehabilitation expenses, medical equipment such as a walker, wheelchair and bath chair, basic daily needs during her recovery and housing accommodations, as she cannot return to our third-floor apartment.”…
