TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee woman is facing theft charges after allegedly stealing checks from the mail.
According to arrest documents, Karen Baggett is accused of taking four checks from the victim and depositing them into her bank account.
The victim contacted law enforcement in January claiming checks sent by her mother for Christmas were stolen. She later told investigators that she believed her neighbor was involved, according to arrest papers.
During the investigation, detectives determined the checks were signed on the back with Baggett’s signature…
