Back in 2024, West Tampa’s 114-year-old staple Alessi Bakery announced plans to relocate and expand to a much larger space just a block down the street, and now they’re finally ready to open the doors.
Located at 3003 W Cypress St. in the historic Tampa Letter Carriers’ Social Hall, the new facility will officially open Wednesday, April 15.
The 18,000-square-foot space will feature all the classic handmade desserts, baked goods and Cuban sandwiches guests have come to love for the past century, along with a few upgrades.

The new Alessi will sport a new quick service area serving breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Guests can also expect an expanded bakery space, and a dedicated cafe area featuring coffee, shakes, smoothies, soft-serve ice cream and more, according to a press release.
