ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A longstanding street festival is set to return to Albany this June following a brief hiatus, city officials announced on Monday. Art on Lark will take place on June 26.

The festival was last held in 2024, before the Lark Street Business Improvement District (BID) underwent a reported period of challenges and a pause in large-scale programming. Now, Art on Lark is being revived under new leadership at Lark Street BID and a partnership with Metroland.
“This is more than just the return of a festival — it’s a signal that Lark Street is back,” BID chair Chris Burke said.
In line with previous iterations, this year’s fair will feature a diverse lineup of visual artists, craft vendors, live music, food and interactive community programming. The event is expected to bring thousands of visitors into downtown.

“People want to come together, live music, and all of those things that bring us together as people,” Albany Mayor Dorcey Applyrs said. “It’s great to be able to take a pause from watching the news, and getting out of the house, and our kids taking a break from videogames, to come and just be in awe of the great city that we have and all of our perks.”…
