Select bus stops around Monmouth and Hudson counties are part of a New Jersey Transit pilot program testing out AI-powered signs that tell riders when the bus is coming. Customers can still check on the NJ Transit app or with the MyBus text tool.
New York City-bound commuters Elmira and Leon, of Manalapan, told News 12 the new signs are more convenient.
NJ Transit says the signs are installed at these locations:
- Hoboken – 15th Street & Willow Avenue
- Hoboken – 9th Street & Washington Street
- Union City – 31th Street & Bergenline Ave
- Union City – 31st Street at JFK Boulevard
- Jersey City Heights – Congress Street at Palisade Avenue
- Manalapan – Route 9 North at Gordon’s Corner Road
- Howell – Aldrich Road Park and Ride
