IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — A landslide on Carlsam Drive in Irondequoit continues to grow, forcing neighbors out of their homes and raising new concerns about infrastructure damage.
News10NBC reporter Declan Stablow visited the site and found the landslide has expanded since Saturday. Dave Stafford, who owns property near the slide, is losing more of his yard each day as land crumbles away.
A telephone pole sitting just feet from the edge of the ravine has become a major point of concern for Stafford and his neighbors. They worry the pole could come down as more land gives way. Stablow reached out to RG&E about possible damage from the pole. RG&E said the pole is stable right now, and their working with the homeowners on a plan to keep it that way…
