The Fires In Northern Colorado Have Begun

This has been a strange year in Northern Colorado. Hardly any moisture due to a serious lack of rain and snow. Usually around this time of year, we’re switching between random snowstorms and fake-out spring. That just means when you start thinking it’s spring, you get the old switcheroo.

Here’s a tough story coming out of Fort Collins. According to the North Forty News, there was a garage fire on Sunday.

Here’s More On That Story

  • The fire was located at a house on Pecan street.
  • Around 5:58 emergency crews responded to multiple 911 calls.
  • Due to the nearby duplex and a close neighborhood firefighters from the Poudre Fire Authority had to work fast to contain the blaze. They did it!
  • The home was spared any major damage
  • No one was hurt
  • The fire was fully extinguished by 9:00 PM

But sadly, that wasn’t the only fire Northern Colorado has seen in the past few days. Greeley also had an emergency situation.

Here’s More On That Story

  • Earlier this week a backyard fire was reported in Greeley
  • Crews responded quickly and were luckily able to contain the fire.
  • There were no injuries reported

Here’s the bottom line. Northern Colorado is dry! The grass is crunchy, and it’s only going to get hotter outside. That means the odds of having a fire that goes out of control aren’t as low as we would hope…
