LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Accumulating snow is increasingly likely for parts of eastern Nebraska overnight Monday into Tuesday morning, with the heaviest snow expected north and northeast of Lincoln where 1-3 inches if not more could fall.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 10 p.m. Monday through 1 a.m. Tuesday. Those planning to travel overnight/Tuesday morning toward Omaha should stay weather aware and monitor conditions closely.
The snow will be heavy and wet, but don’t expect it to stick around long. Afternoon highs Tuesday will reach the 40s, 50s and 60s, quickly melting any accumulation. Activity should taper off by Tuesday morning.
