A homeless encampment near the Industrial Canal is expected to be closed in the coming weeks, according to the city of New Orleans.
Press Secretary for Mayor Helena Moreno’s Office, Jonah Gilmore, confirmed that the encampment, located near the old Bywater Naval Base in an area called “The End of the World,” would be closed in the coming weeks.
