Construction underway inside the University of Iowa’s Main Library is a part of a larger effort to expand academic support services, as the university plans to move its Supplemental Instruction program into a permanent space by fall 2026.
The project began in March 2026, with the project budget totaling $462,500. The square footage of the project is 4,617.
The project will create the Center for Supplemental Instruction, a centralized hub for peer-led study sessions targeting historically difficult courses.
