Project Rescue’s 12th annual ‘Red Bucket Day’ set for Friday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Project Rescue and 17 News are teaming up Friday for the 12th annual “Red Bucket Day” fundraiser to help Kern County victims of human trafficking.

Project Rescue is an anti-trafficking campaign started by nonprofit CityServe.

The event aims to help stop human trafficking in Kern County by raising money to support the Redeemed Home, which is a safe haven for women over the age of 18 who are victims of domestic violence or sexual assault, including human trafficking.
