MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCSC) — The town of Mount Pleasant is continuing its work to strengthen wetland protections with an ordinance to amend part of its Greenspace Preservation and Protection Plan with environmental guidelines for land development of isolated non-jurisdictional wetlands.
These areas are no longer federally protected following a recent Supreme Court ruling, so the town is taking proactive steps to preserve wetlands locally.
