WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCBD) – First responders gathered Friday on the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie campus for an active shooter drill aimed at testing emergency response plans and interagency coordination.
The April 3 exercise involved Colleton County Fire-Rescue, the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office, Walterboro Police Department, Walterboro Fire Department, HCA–Colleton Hospital and USC Salkehatchie. It was the first active shooter drill held at the campus.
