CLEVELAND (WKRC) — A viral TikTok trend involving putting a popular toy in the microwave has left a 10-year-old Cleveland girl with severe burns.
As WOIO reports, the girl was trying to take part in the “Microwave NeeDoh TikTok Challenge” when the toy exploded. The challenge involves putting NeeDoh — a squishy, tactile toy that has gel in the middle of it — in the microwave to make it softer and more pliable. However, NeeDoh is not microwave-safe, and the girl received second-degree burns to her hands and fingers.
“Anything with TikTok or social media, parents need to watch out for things like that. The NeeDoh says on the packaging don’t put it in the microwave,” John Kearns from the Cleveland Fire Department told the outlet…
