LOS ANGELES – Two men were arrested after a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy saw them leaving a burned property along Pacific Coast Highway on March 10, Sgt. Chris Soderlund told the Malibu City Council in a later meeting.
Soderlund said deputies were patrolling the 20000 block of PCH when they observed the two men coming off the property. The men were wearing gloves, he said, but took them off after making eye contact with the deputy and then got into a nearby car.
The deputy made a U-turn and contacted the men in the vehicle. Soderlund told councilmembers the deputy immediately smelled spray paint coming from inside the car and saw several empty spray paint cans. During a search of the vehicle, deputies found about 50 to 60 more spray paint cans. The suspects had fresh paint on their hands and admitted to doing the graffiti, Soderlund told councilmembers…
