MIAMI (WSVN) – A 29-year-old man was arrested Sunday after allegedly stabbing a victim in a Miami apartment and claiming that a divine message prompted the attack. Frank Zaldivar-Santiesteba is charged with attempted felony murder following the incident that left the victim with a punctured lung.
According to a Miami Police Department arrest affidavit, the victim managed to disarm Zaldivar-Santiesteba during a struggle and stab him several times in self-defense. The stabbing occurred early April 5, about an hour after police had performed a welfare check at the same residence and were told by the occupants that “everything was fine.”
According to the arrest report, police first responded to the residence at 4:21 a.m. following reports of a suspicious person who appeared to be sharpening a knife.
