Delivery-First Wonder Food Hall Muscles Into Burtonsville Crossing

Wonder, the delivery-first “food hall” that has been steadily spreading across the D.C. region, is now aiming for Burtonsville. The company plans to open in the revamped Burtonsville Crossing shopping center, which would mark Wonder’s fourth planned spot in Montgomery County and add another chef-focused takeout and delivery hub along Old Columbia Pike.

Where It Will Be

According to WhatNow, Wonder is taking a storefront at Burtonsville Crossing, 15701 Old Columbia Pike, in the space between Haraz Coffee House and Eggspectation. The property listing for the center at EDENS backs that up, confirming both the tenant lineup and the address. Neither Wonder nor the landlord has put an opening date on the calendar yet.

What Wonder Is

Wonder bills itself as a “new kind of food hall” where customers can combine dishes from about 15 chef and brand concepts in one order, per Wonder. The venture, founded by entrepreneur Marc Lore, has been in fast-growth mode across the Northeast and into the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, according to WTOP.
