ROCKVILLE, Md. — Montgomery County firefighters were battling a large fire at a scrap metal pile in Rockville Tuesday morning. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Crews were called to the fire burning outside of a facility on E. Gude Drive near Dover Road around 9 a.m. for a report of a fire. Responding firefighters worked quickly to bring the fire under control. Pete Piringer, a spokesperson for the department, said the fire was out about 25 minutes after the initial call.
