The San Diego based USS John P. Murtha will recover the crew of the Artemis II space mission on Friday.
The warship is an amphibious transport dock and is staffed with sailors, Navy divers and a helicopter squadron from Naval Air Station North Island. On Monday, the ship relocated to the projected splash down spot about 60 miles off the coast of San Diego.
