World No. 1, past champions commit to RBC Heritage

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) — While much of the golf world’s attention is focused on the Masters this week, some golfers have already committed to playing in next week’s RBC Heritage at the Harbour Town Golf Links.

Defending champion and current world No. 14 on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) Justin Thomas, will attempt to defend his title in Hilton Head. Last season, when he won the tournament, it was his first victory on tour in nearly three years, defeating Anderew Novak in a playoff.

Current OWGR No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who won the RBC Heritage in 2024, will also return to Hilton Head’s Harbour Town. Scheffler’s 2024 win came on the heels of a green jacket, winning the Masters the week prior…
