WATERLOO, Iowa — Charges have been filed after an Amber Alert was issued Sunday for a missing 12-year-old Waterloo child who was later found safe in Michigan.
The Waterloo Police Department requested the statewide Amber Alert on April 5. About an hour later, investigators were notified that the suspect vehicle had been located by law enforcement in Coloma Township, Michigan. The child was recovered safely.
Following an investigation, Waterloo police charged 23-year-old Daniyal Khan of Ann Arbor, Michigan, in connection with the incident.
