A late-night police pursuit in Fort Worth turned deadly early Sunday morning, leaving one man dead and another injured after a series of collisions and a crash off the roadway.
According to the Fort Worth Police Department, officers first noticed a vehicle traveling without headlights on Interstate 35 near Rosedale Street around 2:34 a.m. The situation quickly escalated when the vehicle struck another car and failed to stop. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled southbound on the highway.
During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle reportedly hit a second vehicle, continuing to evade officers. The chase extended until the driver exited near Tarver Road, where police briefly lost visual contact while continuing their search…
