In a Friday memo, City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert told the City Council that it would begin seeking ideas for City Hall and the surrounding property, including the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The “Call for Concepts and Ideas” opened today on the city’s website.
And you, yes you, can provide your concept and/or idea. “The City of Dallas invites residents, stakeholders, architects, designers, urban planners, developers, and community organizations to submit concepts and ideas to reimagine the Dallas City Hall building and its surrounding site, as well as the nearby City-owned property that will become available upon completion of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center demolition and reconstruction,” the webpage says.
“This early idea gathering effort seeks to gather preliminary perspectives from the market and the community regarding potential adaptive reuse of the existing building as well as redevelopment opportunities for the broader City Hall site and adjacent acreage.”…
