BYRON, Ill. (WIFR) – A Rockford man faces more than a dozen charges after a high speed chase and river rescue Saturday afternoon.
Kyle Keith, 37, is accused of:
- Aggravated fleeing to elude
- Driving under the influence
- Driving under the influence (BAC .08)
- Improper Lane Usage
- Disobeying a traffic control
- Reckless driving
- Illegal squealing/screeching tires
- Driving on a sidewalk
- Operating an uninsured vehicle
- Speeding 26-34 miles per hour over the posted speed limit
- Criminal damage to property
Around 3 p.m. April 4, Byron police say they got a report about a red Chevrolet Silverado swerving “all over both lanes” on Illinois Route 2.
