Mustangs boys and girls track hits the road to Norwalk today as the Warriors are hosting a coed track meet for DCG and six other schools this afternoon and evening.
The boys were last in action last week at the junior varsity/varsity meet at the DCG High School Track. The Mustangs had placements in at least the top five in nine different events on the track and two more including events in the field. Senior Wyatt Valenta performed well in the discus, throwing 133-02 to earn 3rd place. He helped DCG to third as a team with 71 points overall.
The girls have had two meets in a row cancelled because of weather. The Northwest Invitational last Monday was delayed, but the Mustangs still managed to perform well regardless. There were good individual performances from the likes of Leighton Stanford and a couple relay teams, but DCG placed 7th overall…
