Pickup driver who struck Minneapolis bar also ran red light, damaged 4 other cars

The pickup truck driver who smashed into a Northeast Minneapolis bar on Monday morning did so after running a red light and striking several other vehicles, police say.

Minneapolis Police Department has provided more details to Bring Me The News regarding the incident reported at 8:11 a.m., which culminated with a Chevy Silverado crashing through the window of Stanley’s Northeast Bar Room at University Avenue Northeast and Lowry Avenue North.

MPD says that prior to hitting Stanley’s, the man driving the pickup was headed westbound on Lowry Avenue when he entered the intersection with University “against a solid red light.”…
