BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a man who was shot after allegedly breaking into a Tehachapi home on Thursday.
Coroner officials identified him as Jason Gerard Velasquez, 47, of Glendale. The shooting was reported in the 19000 block of Alta Vista Avenue in Tehachapi around 6:21 p.m. April 2.
Officials with the sheriff’s office said deputies were dispatched to a report of a burglary in progress in the 19000 block of Alta Vista Avenue.
