‘Testament’s’ Ann Dowd certain Aunt Lydia had more to say

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Ann Dowd’s work in “A Handmaid’s Tale” earned her a Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama. The Critics Choice Association honored her with the award as Best Supporting Actress.

Despite all the accolades she garnered for playing the brutal and occasionally sadistic Aunt Lydia, Dowd was certain there were layers of the character yet to be revealed. She’s been given the opportunity to dig deeper into the role as she slipped back into the dark robes for the new Hulu series “The Testaments.”

“I think there’s always a lot more to learn, particularly when there’s a character as complex as Lydia.
