The NEXT Weather Team has issued a NEXT Weather Alert in effect for Tuesday and Wednesday due to the potential for flooding in the metro areas of Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
The flood watch is in effect until 10 p.m. Wednesday due to the potential for flooding from heavy downpours.
Widespread rain totals could range from 1-3 inches with isolated totals up to 6 inches. A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for both Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
The heaviest rain on Tuesday morning was east of the 18-mile stretch leading to the Florida Keys. Tuesday saw isolated storms producing strong winds and gusty downpours across South Florida.
