Springfield man arrested after firing gun outside home

A Springfield man is in custody after reportedly firing gunshots outside his residence last month before barricading inside his home that led to an hours-long standoff with authorities.

According to a press release from the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 7:30 pm on March 30, deputies received a call of an intoxicated male subject with a firearm who had been shooting recklessly off his back porch and then barricaded himself in his residence following a domestic altercation on Karas Way in Springfield.
