MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two residents have filed a class action lawsuit against BFI Waste Systems of Tennessee — the parent company of Middle Point Landfill in Murfreesboro.
The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee Tuesday and alleges private nuisance, public nuisance and negligence complaints against the parent company. The lawsuit says those complaints are due to the fact that Middle Point has “failed to implement an adequate landfill gas collection system,” causing “noxious odors.”
