SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Nominations are in for the 2026 High School Musical Theatre Awards. The 10th annual event is scheduled to take place on May 16 at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady.

With 10 award categories, the ceremony aims to celebrate the talent of high school theatre throughout the Capital Region. 25 districts submitted their spring productions for consideration in this year’s awards.
The show will be hosted by Broadway performer Apollo Levine. Between categories, students will perform production numbers from shows nominated for Best Musical and from finalists for Best Actor and Actress.
