Cedric Jacobson announces candidacy for Milton Town Meeting, Precinct 10
Meet Cedric Jacobson: A New Voice for Our Neighbors and Our Future
My name is Cedric Jacobson, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for Town Meeting.
Since moving to Milton in the spring of 2023 with my wife Audrey and our dog Belle, we have been proud to call this community home. With the birth of our son Hugo and our daughter Vivienne, I have felt a growing calling to serve the town that is shaping their childhood. I was raised on a small Montana ranch, a background that taught me the value of hard work, persistence, and working until the job is done. These arenβt just slogans to me; they are the principles that guided my path through the University of Montana and into my career as a science educator. For nearly two decades, I have served as a classroom teacher and leader, currently teaching AP Biology and Advanced Chemistry at Brooke High School in Boston.
My professional life has been defined by seeking first to understand: a core value I believe is essential for effective local government. Whether leading a science department or developing state-level curriculum reports, my approach is always collaborative and evidence-based. Town Meeting serves as the legislative branch of our government, making critical decisions on the annual budget and town bylaws. I am running to ensure those decisions are made with a focus on: Embracing Young Families: Shaping Milton into a place where the next generation can thrive. Fiscal Responsibility: Ensuring our tax dollars are managed with transparency and care. Long-Range Planning: Looking beyond the immediate to build a sustainable, vibrant future for all precincts. Being a Town Meeting member is about more than just voting; it is about personal connection…
