Marshall County deputies are searching for the driver who struck a woman on a rural road near Byhalia late on March 28, leaving her seriously injured before speeding away, according to investigators.
The crash happened along Hollow Tree Lane at Cayce Road, and the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. Authorities say the case is still very much active as they chase down leads and review any available video from the area.
According to Action News 5, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office says the crash occurred around 8 p.m. on March 28 at the intersection of Hollow Tree Lane and Cayce Road, and that a black sedan hit the woman and kept going. Fox13 Memphis reports the woman was seriously injured and rushed to a hospital, and officials have not released her name.
