Latest on future of Temple University’s Ambler campus

The Philadelphia Inquirer published an article on April 3rd that provided the latest on the situation involving the future of Temple University’s campus in Ambler (Upper Dublin). The campus’ student population has dwindled over the last two decades after reaching an all-time high of 6,500 students in the 1980s. In 2021, a tornado passed through the campus causing extensive damage. Today, approximately 600 students take classes there.

In October 2025 the university announced that is was seeking partnerships to explore the sale or hybridizing of the 187-acre property. Those partners have now been secured and according to the Inquirer’s article there will now be a six month study on the best options for the campus…
