Drivers passing by noticed that the front planter of the Antelope-Menifee Rural Center on Haun Road could use a little love. That love came from Reese Stump, a student at Santa Rosa Academy charter school in Menifee who was looking for a community service project to fulfill her graduation requirements.
A few of the yucca plants that had been placed about five years ago by a Boy Scout earning his Eagle merit badge had begun to outgrow their containers. A few others had expired. So, Reese grabbed some gloves and began her work on a Saturday morning, pulling the sword-like plants out by hand…
