Ville Platte mayor, Mamou police chief, other public officials arrested

VILLE PLATTE, La. (KLFY) — Several public officials have turned themselves in to police and are charged with malfeasance in office, jail records show.

Mamou Police Chief Charles Hall, 53, is charged with malfeasance in office and trespassing against state computers. He was booked into the Evangeline Parish jail on $75,000 bond.
