AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Students and faculty from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy and the Texas Panhandle Poison Control are celebrating the 100th Medication Cleanout on April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
According to officials from TTUHSC, residents will have the opportunity to safely dispose of expired, unused, or unnecessary medications to reduce the risk of accidental poisonings, drug misuse, and environmental contamination. Officials note that the medication clean-out is a drive-thru, drop-off format to allow participants to discard medications without leaving their vehicles.
