Houston police investigate fatal shooting and injury at Gulf Freeway business

HOUSTON, Texas — Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one man dead and another injured at a business on Gulf Freeway early Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred around 5 a.m. at 12330 Gulf Freeway, according to a press release from the Houston Police Department. Officers arrived to find an unresponsive 33-year-old male in the parking lot and another injured male inside the building. The Houston Fire Department pronounced the man in the parking lot deceased and transported the injured man to a local hospital, where he is expected to survive.

Witnesses described the suspect or suspects as Hispanic males in their late teens or early 20s, according to the HPD Homicide Division. The identity of the deceased victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences…
